COMMENTS: I don’t recommend transplanting the crown until after age 35 (sometimes even age 40). This allows us to have a better sense of how to ‘balance’ using hair for the front and using hair for the crown. This man had good density in the front and we elected to build medium to high density in the crown. For some men, the goal is to provide a light coverage in the crown (to reduce the visibility of the scalp) but to save more grafts for the front (if needed). This man is unlikely to develop hair loss in the frontal scalp and I discussed creating high density.
