Is there an age cut off for Rogaine?

Rogaine is FDA approved for treating genetic hair loss for individuals 18-65. Any use other than this (either under 18 or over 65) is called "off label." Anyone over 65 who wishes to use Rogaine should check with their physician about whether this drug could be right for them or not.

The main concerns about using Rogaine in individuals over 65 concern the potential increased stress on the cardiovascular system. Coexistent medical issues, especially cardiovascular disease,  often means Rogaine can't be used. Speak to your doctor about the safety of Rogaine.
