Over the next two weeks, we’ll take a closer look at a group of hair loss conditions known as "scarring alopecias". We will take a look at the latest research on the cause of some of these scarring alopecias and the latest in treatments.

Scarring alopecias are all characterized by permanent hair loss. Some of the many scarring alopecias that exsit are conditions such as lichen planopilaris (LPP), frontal fibrosing alopecia (FFA), folliculitis decalvans, and central centrifugal cicatricial alopecia (CCCA).
