Androgenetic Alopecia
Terminal, Miniaturized, Vellus
Androgenetic alopecia affects both men and women. This type of hair loss is referred to as ‘male pattern balding (MPB)’ in men and in women as ‘female pattern hair loss (FHPL)’ . This condition is characterized by conversion of large terminal hairs (T) into thinner miniaturized hairs (M) and finally to vellus hairs (V).
